Looking For Sources Of Tradeshow Exhibit RentalsOur company was having it's end of third quarter meeting when the topic of next year's tradeshow season came up. We were in the middle of a big product changeover and the idea of Tradeshow Exhibit Rentals was posed as an option. Our current exhibit was about 3 years old and had seen better days. It had all the current company logos on it and the product line was close to being up to date. But it was going to require some repairs. The thought of a Tradeshow Exhibit Rental was looking better and better. This would alleviate the problems of spending money on repairs to a booth that in a few months would need to be completely replaced when the new product lines come out. After doing some research, We found out that a lot of the larger exhibit companies also offer Tradeshow Exhibit Rentals. These can be stock exhibits that they have in house. They are somewhat generic in their design but can be customized with new graphics. We found other companies who had Tradeshow Exhibit Rentals that they would build for you and then let you rent it instead of buying it. Any graphics that we would need or custom colored fabric or banners would have to be purchased, aside from the rental. The Tradeshow Exhibit Rental road seemed to be the one we were willing to head down. The cost savings would be substantial and it would save the company from building an exhibit twice. The companies we spoke with said that we could look at the Tradeshow Exhibit Rental in 1 of 2 ways. We could rent the exhibit on a show to show basis or just rent it for a period of time and then send it to the shows we attended during that time. Both Tradeshow Exhibit Rental options had their advantages when it came to logistics and storage. There are some other thing we needed to consider with the Tradeshow Exhibit Rentals. The companies we spoke to recommended that we rent our carpeting from the general contractor at each of the shows. The flooring for our exhibit is a 10 x 10 carpet so it is easy to rent at a show. Since our show season this upcoming year was going to be sort of sporadic, we opted to rent the exhibit on a show to show basis. We will let the exhibit company arrange all the logistics and installation and dismantle of the booth and we will keep our custom graphics and take them to the shows ourselves. |
