Taking Trade Show Tabletop Exhibits On The RoadMy brother was working for a company that made grips for golf clubs. He spent most of time traveling from place to place with 2 or Trade Show Tabletop Exhibits that displayed all the different types and styles of grips that they manufactured. The nice thing about his Trade Show Tabletop Exhibit was that it was so portable. He did a lot of trade shows each year, starting with a big show in Orlando at the beginning of the year, and going from city to city and working his way both across the country as well as making his way from the south to the north. Most of the time he flew from place to place and his Trade Show Tabletop Exhibits traveled as check luggage. He would wear a suit on the plane and pack the rest of his clothes and traveling stuff in one of those carry on suitcases. He was only allowed 2 pieces of checked luggage, so his Trade Show Tabletop Exhibits were all he could check. Arriving at a trade show he would be in either a 10X10 or an 8X8 booths with pipe and drape and set up his Trade Show Tabletop Exhibits on the folding tables provided by the general contractor. The Trade Show Tabletop Exhibit unfolded from what looked like a long suitcase to turn into a display board with graphics and lights on top to illuminate them. He would take out literature holders and attach them to the displays board with velcro on the back and then put the brochures in them. The other part of his job was to visit country clubs and golf courses as well. He would set up his Trade Show Tabletop Exhibits in the pro shop or out on the course near the first hole, the turn or next to the driving range. His Trade Show Tabletop Exhibits worked & looked just as well out in the elements as they would indoors. Sometimes he would have a tent set up over him, sometimes not. All he really needed was the folding table to put the Trade Show Tabletop Exhibits on. When he was set up without a tent, he would leave the low voltage lights in their compartment because they were not really necessary. The graphics were laminated so they were protected from moisture and the fabric did well outside in the sun. Whether he was inside or outside he was selling his grips. |
